Césped LLC ("Césped", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Césped application and website at cesped.app (together, "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this Policy.

Who this policy covers

Césped is a business tool for landscaping and lawn-care operators. When we say "you", we mean the business owner and the team members who use the App. Separately, the App lets you store information about your own customers — see "Your responsibilities for your customers' data" below.

Information we collect

Account information. Your email address and an encrypted password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase), plus your name and role on your team.

Information you enter about your customers and business. The App stores what you choose to put in it, which may include: customer names, service addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses; service notes and access details (such as gate codes); visit schedules; job photos; and quotes, invoices, payments, and expenses. You control this content.

Photos. If you use the camera or photo features, we store the before/after and receipt images you capture so they appear on visits, invoices, and records.

Location. With your permission, the App uses your device's approximate location to order your route and show local weather. We use it to look up directions and forecasts; we do not build advertising profiles from it.

Payment information. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe on the web. There is no in-app purchase, so neither Apple nor Google handles payment for Césped. We receive confirmation that a subscription is active; we do not receive or store your full card number.

Technical data. Basic information needed to run and secure the App, such as device/browser type and log data, plus error and crash reports when something goes wrong (what failed, where in the App, and the device type).

How we use information

We use information to provide and operate the App: creating your account, syncing your data across devices, showing schedules and routes, generating quotes and invoices, processing subscriptions, enforcing team permissions, and providing support. We also use it to keep the App secure and to comply with law.

We do not sell or share your personal information

We do not sell your personal information or your customers' personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

We run no advertising or tracking pixels of any kind — not in the App, and not on our website. Nothing you or your team put into the App — customer names, addresses, phone numbers, gate codes, photos, schedules, quotes, invoices or payments — is ever shared with advertisers, used to target ads, or used for advertising in any way.

Service providers we rely on

We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing services to us:

The providers listed here are our sub-processors for the data you store about your customers; we will update this list and give notice before adding a new one.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on servers in the United States (via Supabase). By using the App you understand your information is processed in the U.S.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the App, or by emailing support@cesped.app. Deleting the owner account removes the business's data. We may retain limited records where required by law.

Photos. Photos are the largest driver of storage costs in the App. We reserve the right to delete job photos older than 24 months, and to delete all photos a reasonable time after an account is cancelled. We do not currently run this cleanup on a fixed schedule, but if and when we do, we will give notice in the App before deleting anything under a general retention sweep like this.

How long we keep it: your account and business records for as long as your account is active, then deleted on our 30-day account-deletion schedule; job photos per the photo policy above; the activity audit log for up to 730 days; and limited billing and tax records for as long as the law requires.

Your responsibilities for your customers' data

The App lets you store information about your own customers. You are the controller of that information: you are responsible for having any consent or notice required to collect and store it, and for responding to your customers' requests to access or delete their data. We act as your service provider and will delete or export such data at your direction.

Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections, database row-level security that isolates each business's data, per-user permissions, and an activity audit log. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Children

The App is a business tool and is not directed to, or intended for, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email support@cesped.app. We will verify your request (for example, by confirming control of your account email) and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

Other U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of U.S. states with a comprehensive consumer-privacy law — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and a growing number of others — have rights similar to those above: to access, delete, and correct their personal information, and to opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising (which, as noted, we do not do). To exercise any of these rights, email support@cesped.app; we will verify your request and respond within the time your state's law allows. If we deny your request you may appeal by replying to us, and if we deny the appeal you may contact your state Attorney General.

Visitors from outside the United States

Césped is operated from the United States and intended for U.S. businesses. If you use the App from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have rights under the GDPR — access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. We process the limited personal data described above to provide the App to you and to keep it secure. To exercise any right, email support@cesped.app.

"Do Not Track" and tracking

We do not track our users across third-party websites, and we do not serve targeted advertising. Because there is no accepted industry standard for how to respond, the App does not change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — although, as stated, we do not sell or share it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be signaled in the App and by updating the date above; your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
